The North East of Scotland Golfers’ Alliance has been in existence since the early 1930s with the Championship Uniroyal Quaich first played for in 1935. The first winner of the Championship was James Forrester of Cruden Bay Golf Club. The founders main objective was to bring together professional and amateur golfers, male and female, keen to maintain their interest in golf during the season’s winter months. Members join the Alliance each year in early September and we currently have around 150 members in total with up to 100 players involved in each weekly competition over 25 weeks between September and March.
